Isabella ★★★★★

My son struggles with making friends, and reading about Nola's lonely journey gave us a gentle way to talk about it together. The story's soft rhyme and expressive monster characters made him ask to read it again right after we finished.

Lucy ★★★☆☆

The illustrations are really sweet and my kid liked following Nola's story, but the message about friendship felt a bit heavy for his age group. It’s a decent read, just not one he asks for again and again.
