This second edition of The Anger Workbook for Teens includes brand-new activities to help teen understand and interact with their anger, and tips for managing it in constructive ways.

Between family life, friends, social media, and the pressures of school, there’s no doubt that it’s stressful being a teenager. And while anger is a natural human emotion, different people handle it differently. Some hold in their anger and let it build, some lash out with hurtful words, and some resort to fighting. This second edition of The Anger Workbook for Teens includes brand-new skills and activities based in clinically proven treatments such as acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) to help teens deal with negative thoughts without losing control. Teens will find out what’s triggering their anger, look at the ways they react, be more aware of their thoughts and how they interact with them, and learn skills and techniques for managing anger without losing their cool. Teens will develop a personal anger profile and learn to notice the physical symptoms they feel when they become enraged, then find out how to calm those feelings and respond more sensitively to others. Once teens fully understand their anger, they’ll be better prepared to deal with their feelings in the moment.

Ellie ★★★★★

My daughter actually asked to do the trigger-tracking pages together, which never happens. The second edition fixed the clunky layout from the older one, and the calm-down strategies are short enough that she doesn't tune out halfway through.

Scarlett ★★★★★

My therapist suggested this for my son and I ended up reading it myself. The trigger-identification activities are surprisingly practical, not the usual fluff you find in workbooks. The revised second edition flows much better than the older version my sister had.

Avery G. ★★★★★

Bought this for my 15-year-old who's been struggling to keep his cool, and the trigger-identification activities actually got him talking instead of slamming doors. The revised second edition feels current, not like some dated textbook. Worth every penny.
