LifeSteps: Taking Charge DVD

Used this in my 7th grade health class and the group discussions afterward were surprisingly deep. The way it breaks down impulse control into concrete steps really clicked with my students.

The self-control segments hit home with my sixth graders—they actually referenced "taking charge" during a hallway argument a week later. Grades 6-12 feels right; the content is mature enough for older kids without losing the younger ones.

My eighth graders really engaged with the section on self-control, and the video sparked some honest discussions in class. It’s a solid tool for building emotional skills without feeling like a lecture.
